Black Ops 2 - Zombies In-Depth Details!
After months of speculating, the veil has finally been
lifted on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's Zombie gameplay. While we still
haven't gotten a chance to try it, a recent visit to Treyarch resulted
in a glut of information about the evolution of the mode, and what fans
can expect on November 13th. What started as something simple and silly,
a treat for those who beat Call of Duty: World at War, is being
developed into the biggest, most fully-featured Zombies game yet.
The biggest change to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's Zombie gameplay
comes in the form of its campaign mode. Titled Tranzit, this tosses you
and up to three of your friends into the biggest world the team at
Treyarch has ever created for Zombies. Your goal in Tranzit is simple:
kill all the undead that you come across and leave a trail of bodies in
your wake. You and your team jump between a number of locales along the
way, doing what appears to be defensive stands and clearing them out
before moving on to the next place. However, getting from place to place
isn't a simple loading screen, but instead requires you to get there by
foot or by bus. It's unclear whether or not you'll be able to steer the
bus, but the first trailer makes it pretty clear you'll be defending
yourself and perhaps even building barricades in order to survive the
journey between survival spots.
You'll also have plenty to look out for while you're battling in the
zombie-infested wasteland, as Tranzit now includes "buildables,"
something Treyarch describes as elements you can put together to do
things like open up new parts of the world or make weapons. As for how
the campaign ends? That's anyone's guess. Treyarch is playing whatever
story it's inserting into Tranzit close to its chest, which fits with
its strategy of letting the fans parse together the narrative through
message boards and other online communities.
If Tranzit doesn't sound like your thing, if you're the type of
person that just wants to hop in with friends and defend a single
position, you'll be pleased to hear that Survival mode is returning with
Black Ops 2. Playable either solo or with three friends, Survival
offers the classic survival experience wherein you build defenses and
hold out. The nitty-gritty details haven't been discussed, but the
environments you play in are apparently custom-made takes on locations
from the Tranzit campaign.
Cooperative play isn't for everyone, and while Black Ops 2 will
feature a competitive multiplayer mode as well, Treyarch's also
developing a new take on competitive play for Zombies called Grief.
Internally the team at Treyarch likes to refer to Grief as "4z4,"
because unlike traditional competitive games both sides have to deal
with a third party that wants their brains -- the Zombies. In Grief,
your only goal is to have your team outlive the other, but, unlike every
other Call of Duty mode you've ever played, you can't shoot other
players. Instead you have to "grief" them and get the zombies to do the
work for you. Treyarch's being disappointingly mum in regards to how
"griefing" actually works, so for now we're left to speculate about how
we'll be attempting to kill our friends come November.
If there's a rule or any other part of Zombies' three modes that you
don't like, Treyarch wants you to tweak them and create your own using
the Custom games feature -- a first for Zombies. You can live out your
hardcore zombie fantasy and make it so only headshots kill, turn off
magic items and set your starting round.
Previously, the Zombie portion of Treyarch's Call of Duty games felt
like a distraction, a way to break up the multi-hour sessions with the
competitive multiplayer. Black Ops 2 aims to change it into something on
par with the multiplayer and campaign. This isn't just a mode, it's a
series of modes buried within a game, a testament to Treyarch's
dedication to the fans. Without their input and devotion, Zombies
wouldn't exist as it does today.

Black Ops II - Leveling Up System Explained!
We are coming ever closer to the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and
there is still heaps of content to talk about. One major factor of the
game will be how we rank up and what we get for doing it, luckily
David Vonderhaar of Treyarch took to the Black Ops 2 forums recently, explaining the whole process from start to finish.
For starters, each prestige level will feature 55 levels, with the amount of experience points needed within similar to that of Call of Duty: World At War.
Vahn did state however, it will be very easy to level up with the
never-ending amount of XP from medals you collect, challenges you
complete and extra bonus XP from leveling up guns.
Like previous Call of Duty titles, once you reach level 4 you unlock the Create-a-Class feature (read more about the Pick 10 Create-a-Class system).
As for unlocking the guns and equipment in-game, every time you level
up you will receive a token as a reward, so by reaching level 4 you will
have 4 tokens, simple right! These tokens can be used to unlock a range
of hardware, but luckily when you reach level 4, Treyarch have some free guns and equipment to get you on your way, effectively one item from each category.
- 1 Assault Rifle
- 1 SMG
- 1 LMG
- 1 Shotgun
- 1 Sniper Rifle
- 1 Perk from each of the 3 perk categories
- 1 lethal grenade
- 1 tactical grenade/equipment
Once you reach level 10 things will start to become more settled and a
pattern will emerge. Every time you reach an extra 3 levels, it will be
seen as a major rank change and you will be rewarded for reaching it
with a gun or “something else”.
In general, it goes like this.
- Level 10 – Weapon + Something Else
- Level 11 – Equipment (either lethal or tactical).
- Level 12 – Scorestreak
“This pattern then repeats through all 55 levels with some minor
statistical variations or bonuses when they make sense and because the
math can’t be perfect,” said Vahn.
The new system has gone down well with fans, which is good as it’s a major feature in the game.

Alien: Colonial Marines - Escape Mode!
Gearbox has revealed details of a new multiplayer mode for Aliens: Colonial Marines.
It's called Escape, and pits a team of four US colonial marines against
– you've guessed it – a team of four playable Xenomorphs. The mode has
the added pressure of a time limit, in which the soldiers must stay
alive and make their way to the evacuation zone. Meanwhile, the
Xenomorphs must hunt down and kill the marines.
The Xenomorphs aren't all the same, however, there are distinct classes.
The Xenomorph Soldier is highly resistant to damage and excels at close
combat; the Xeno Lurker is the fastest and most agile of the aliens,
possessing a "quick strike" ability which lets them pin marines to the
ground; finally, there's the Xeno Spitter which can attack marines from a
distance by spraying acid from its "cranial acid pouches". Charming.
SEGA says that players "will have to work together as a team, utilizing
each faction’s unique skills, and identifying their opponents’ weak
spots to either reach the safety of the escape point or to eliminate
their targets". No details were given regarding the abilities of the
marines, but presumably one of you will have the nerve-shredding job of
monitoring the motion detector.

Gears Of War: Judgement - Free For All?
Gears of War: Judgment is adding free-for-all multiplayer to the
franchise. This is the first time Gears of War will have anything other
than team-based competitive modes online.
Developer People Can Fly have been mixing things up with Judgment, with OverRun multiplayer
combining past Gears of War modes, Beast and Horde, to create a
different kind of two-team match type. Meanwhile, the campaign is a
prequel story centered on Damon Baird and Augustus Cole.
Black Ops II Nuketown Zombies?!
It appears Nuketown is coming to Black Ops II's Zombies mode. Treyarch
and Activision have been teasing Call of Duty: Black Ops II information
for the past few days on Facebook, and fans are starting to see the
payoff. A concept image of the "Welcome to Nuketown" sign features "ZOMBIES" painted in blood.

Command and Conquer
The new command and conquer game has been announced by EA as being a free to play game, however there is no doubt that premium content and dlc will be available for a certain price. I have played a number of command and conquer games, and have really enjoyed them i just can't help but think that this direction is not the way forward for the game. Age of empires is an example that helps support this, having endless restrictions in a free to play game with an option to buy them just seams like a way to make more money out of the same content if the game had a price to buy originally.
Anyway i'l certainly give it a chance and would suggest you do to

Halo 4
It is my personal belief that halo is one of the best games ever created, although i admit that is a very strong statement.
Halo 4 will be the first halo game not created by bungie, it is instead being developed by 343 industries. This fledgling company have alot to live up to and a huge responsibility as they will progress the story-line of the beloved master chief . The events that take place in halo 4 will not only bring back the iconic character of Chief but they will also introduce a new enemy alongside the refurbished covenant. This new enemy appears to have forerunner technology, and the chief will have to battle them as well as the covenant to survive.
The flood have been confirmed as not appearing in halo4 but i'm sure there not finished yet.

If your as much of a halo fan as i am or if you just want to learn about the halo universe the forerunner saga is a good place to start the first two books "Cryptum" and "Primordium" explore the fascinating world of the forerunners and the creation of the halo's that are so iconic to this game.
Gears Of War Judgement Gameplay
Gears Of War: Judgment is actually a prequel to the first Gears game
following Cole and Baird as they deal with the aftermath of Emergence
Day in the coastal city of Halvo Bay.
This is the first game in the series not to be developed directly by Epic with Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly taking the lead this time.
Gears Of War: Judgment will burst onto Xbox 360 on March the 19th of next year.
The following video features new game mode "Overrun".

A New MMO for Consoles named "Defiance"
Defiance is a Shooter MMO developed by Trion Worlds for Xbox 360. Personally, I like the look of it. Take a look at the video below and decide for yourself. The game will be released in April 2013.
Battlefield Armored Kill + AC130!
Like many battlefield fans we are avidly anticipating the release of the new Battlefield 3 DLC "armored kill". The maps focus mainly around vehicle based warfare and even include an AC130 gunship, giving players the ability to rain death from above like never before.
Undead Labs Announces State of Decay!
So i was surfing the internet for some new black ops zombie news and i found a video on IGN for a new game called "State of Decay".
The video really interested me and got me exited, so i did some research of my own.
undead labs describe the game as follows..
The end is here. Life as you knew it has gone to hell after the mother of all zombie outbreaks. Now you and the few scattered survivors must band together to survive and rebuild in a 3rd-person action game set in a dynamic open world. You choose where to make your stand, designing and fortifying your home base, performing daring raids for food and ammunition, and rescuing other playable survivors with unique talents. The open, sandbox world develops in real-time, shaped by your actions, dynamically generating content based on your choices and the ever-increasing zombie threat.
